Frequently Asked Questions

Q Where can I get the latest Knitwit patterns?

A Knitwit no longer produces its own pattern range. We have found the KwikSew pattern range excellent for sewing with knit fabrics. We carry the full KwikSew and Burda pattern ranges. KwikSew is now part of the McCalls group.

Q Where can I do a stretch sewing class?

A You will need to search locally, for example using the Yellow Pages or Google.

Q Where is my nearest Knitwit store?

A The Knitwit chain of franchised stores closed in 1993. It was originally founded by Vera Randall in the seventies and taught over a million Australian women that sewing with knit fabrics could be easy and fun. Today, we are the only Knitwit store in Australia, and we are the proprietors of the Knitwit trade marks.

Q Does Knitwit still franchise?

A No.
