Kwik Sew Pattern 4139 – Misses’ Paneled Jackets
Semi-fitted jackets have French darts and back shoulder darts, front extends to form collar and full-length sleeves.
A: Contrast lower fronts and backs, lined to edge, is finished with contrast bias binding and snap closure.
B: Overlapped and conventional seams. Overlapped seam method requires non-fraying fabric because raw edges are not finished. All outside edges are left raw.
The pattern is designed for medium weight woven and knit fabrics. It can be used with many of our jacquard knits, double knits, ponti knits and rugby knits, as well as with polar fleece.
I have made this jacket up several times. It’s great fun and very creative, and ends up looking nothing like the pattern cover! I use the overlocker to construct the garment and also to overlock all the edges.
